Thai massage is a physical yet deeply relaxing massage, which is practiced in Thailand. Many of its origins comes from India and as a result some of the Thai Massage techniques are akin to yoga stretches. It is different from Western Massage as the client receives the massage on the floor in comfortable clothing . Thai massage uses gentle, rhythmic movement and focuses on the energy lines and pressure points closely connected to the meridian system used in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Shiatsu. While using hands, feet and knees on pressure points, the body weight of the therapist is also gently used to assist stretches – always working with the client and constantly assessing the pressure and depth of the stretch. If you enjoy being stretched, this one is for you!
